FASCA Atlanta first member meeting and training

FASCA Atlanta Branch held its first membership meeting and training at the Overseas Chinese Education Center on the 17th, which was designed by the branch’s advisory instructor Chung-Yi Niou.

The day’s activity started with morning exercises, and then the trainees introduced themselves, and the advisory instructor Nancy Tai presided over the membership meeting, explaining its purpose, core values, membership responsibilities, organizational structure and annual activities. At noon, after the trainees learned the history of dumplings and the process of making dumplings, each group also made dumplings by themselves and contested for the winning team.

In the afternoon, Mrs. Tai presided over the parent meeting to announce the activities. The teachers read Tang poems and practice dance in each team. At the end of the day, they performed the learning results of the day for the parents to appreciate.

Mrs. Tai said that the nature of almost all FASCA service activities is related to culture and inheritance, and the leadership of students is also cultivated in various well-designed group activities. The next activities this year include Mid-Autumn Festival training, and the mid-winter camp in December is expected to go to Charlotte SC to train with the North Carolina branch students.
