FASCA members got to share their traditions with others at the Sandy Springs Library Mid-Autumn Festival Culture Program on September 28, 2024. First, our FASCA members gave a presentation on the origins and traditions surrounding the Mid-Autumn Festival. Then, they presented four traditional stories relating to the Mid-Autumn Festival, using shadow puppetry. Finally, they helped guests make Mid-Autumn Festival themed crafts, including “mooncake” magnets and origami rabbits. Additionally, the diabolo team performed in front of the audience. This was a great way for our FASCA members to introduce others to this special festival.
