On February 3, 2024, FASCA hosted an event at Chamblee Library to present the traditions of the Lunar New Year. Many children and families from our community joined us to celebrate!
FASCA volunteers started by explaining the details and significance of the holiday. Members staged a shadow puppet show to tell traditional stories such as the origin of the Chinese zodiac and the legend of Nian. In addition, the Lion Team was able to perform, and children had the chance to feed red envelopes to the lion. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed partaking in fun paper crafts.
It was great sharing our culture with the community!
