Ms. Beverly Lenox started the day by delivering valuable lessons on effective communication, manners, and etiquette. Members had the opportunity to practice fundamental social skills, including walking, sitting, and making good first impressions.
During lunchtime, members learned how to wrap their own wontons. The process proved surprisingly simple, and the resulting wontons were delicious. Thanks to the parent volunteers’ for their great cooking!
In the calligraphy session, members learned the art of Chinese calligraphy. Following the instructors’ guidance, members practiced writing the Chinese character “永.” It was a valuable experience, and provided insight into this ancient technique. Learning the proper way to hold the brush and make each stroke took a lot of patience!
Members continued the day practicing the chapter dance, “Young Guns,” led by Cianna, Joshua, and Christine. Everyone looked wonderful!
Members engaged in a team-building activity known as the human knot. The game involved twisting, turning, and untangling ourselves. It demonstrated the importance of working together!
The October training day was fantastic! We learned a lot and had a great time working together. Looking forward to more fun events from FASCA!
